The practice's long standing interest in low energy building design resulted in its selection for this project.

Environmental computer models of the design were used as a design tool to analyse and estimate the energy savings that would result from a number of innovative building features.

The findings of an independant energy and cost audit have shown that for the same capital cost as a more traditional air-conditioned building, the proposed scheme would require only 30% of the energy consumed by a similar size air-conditioned building.
