Foggo Associates have extensive experience of incorporating glass, steel, aluminium and stone in the cladding of buildings. 60 Queen Victoria Street presented the opportunity to broaden this experience to incorporate bronze into a building façade. |

| The benefits and characteristics of each of these techniques were analysed by the design team working in collaboration with the specialist cladding subcontractor Josef Gartner & Co. and their suppliers. The design was then refined using the most appropriate and cost effective technique for various elements to ensure the complex cladding system was achieved within the strict time and cost constraints of a commercial speculative development. | |||||||||||

| The finishing of the bronze was of critical importance to the appearance of the completed project, and had been one of the primary reasons for the selection of the material for the cladding. The patination of the bronze was carried out by specialist subcontractor Capisco Ltd, and close liaison between the design team and the patinators ensured the requisite quality and consistency was achieved to the hand finished cladding elements. | |||||||||||
